Kiire - In a Hurry

Yksi poikasista oli aamulla istumassa häkin pohjalla ja emo sen seurana. Taisi olla vanhin, en niin tarkkaan katsonut nyt kiiruhdin laittamaan sen takaisin pesään, en tiedä milloin se reppana oli lattialle tippunut.

Poikaset voivat muuten hienosti ja kasvavat minkä ehtivät. Emoilla myös kaikki hyvin ja Frodo toimii edelleen esimerkillisesti, vaikka viuhtookin joskus häkissä menemään ees taas. Molemmat syövät tuoreruokaa jatkuvalla syötöllä ja Frodo syöttää Chiaraa jokseenkin vähemmän, kun emo syö itsekin yhtä reippaasti. Nyt vanhemmilla on jo vähän paremmin aikaa itselleenkin ja Chiara on päässyt rauhassa kylpemään voikukan lehdissä taas eikä näytäkään enää niin väsyneeltä.

Äidin elämä ei ole aina helppoa.

One of the chicks was found on the cage floor today and Chiara was with him. I suppose it was the eldest, who seems to be a male, I didn't look so closely but just hurried to put him back in to the nest box.

Otherwise the chicks are doing very well, the tiniest one seems more outgoing and comes to check the hole that appears in the roof when I peep in, the elder siblings first reaction is to hide. I check daily to see if feathers are plucked or something else seems to be wrong.

Also the parents have gotten more free time now and luckily they don't seem interested in round two. Otherwise I might be forced to take one or the other out again. Chiara's got time for dandelion baths again and seems not so tired anymore. It's not always so easy to be a mom.
